[it's a friendship fic]
Shopping during the holiday season was always difficult.
Apparently it didn't matter that all you had gone for were basic groceries - you had almost had to fight someone for a couple of onions. After that ordeal, it’s hard to be surprised when the door to your apartment slams shut behind you from a large gust of wind. You know for a fact you shut every window before you left, which can only mean one thing. You sigh, bags of shopping still in hand, and stare resignedly at the mop of black hair splayed over the armrest of your sofa.
"Does Samezuka not give you guys beds?"
"There's two in every room. Bunk beds. One on top, on on bottom."
"Then explain to me why every week it's a different one of you breaking into my damn apartment. I'm honestly considering getting a cat flap."
"The window's been working perfectly well."
"But you always leave it open, and it gets too dang cold."
"Wait - you've been having other boys on this couch? You minx."
Swatting at him with a rolled up newspaper proves fruitless, so you just sigh.
"And you always leave something, all of you! It's never something useful, like money, or a brand new phone, or something that isn't smelly socks or gross slimy swimsuits."
"So ungrateful. We've been giving you gifts."
"Pfft, yeah, sure. In future, remind me to give you all a list or something. I don't want any more 'surprise gifts' from the Samezuka Santa's this year."
"What do you want for the holidays, then?"
"I dunno. [Thing you want]? [Other thing]? A fruit bat? Almost anything that I don't have to wash, really."
"Hm."
You take this as leave to start putting away your groceries, but the silence from the sofa starts to worry you after a while.
"Oi, are you asleep over there? Goddamn it Sousuke!"
"Nah. Have you noticed anyone leaving... other things here?"
"Hm? Nah, I've only noticed stuff that smells, I guess."
"Do you never look at your Christmas tree or something?"
"Not really." You can practically hear Sousuke's eye roll. "What?"
"C'mere."
You follow him to the tree, the both of you crouching in front of it, and can’t help but feel kind of stunned when he starts pointing to things you definitely didn't put on it.
He points to a bauble covered in vaguely insect looking shapes. "Momo." A perfectly coloured and shaped little plastic duck. "Ai." A shark-like candy cane structure. "Rin." A couple of little balls of tinsel. "Me."
“I can’t believe I didn’t see those. You guys can be really sweet sometimes!”
“Mh. Are you cooking dinner?”
“And sometimes you can be complete scroungers. Fine, I’m cooking dinner. Sit your lazy backside back down.”
4:30 a.m, Christmas Day.
In hindsight, you really should of seen it coming, yet somehow, when the chorus of "Merry Christmas!" rings out in your room, you still manage to scream at the intruders.
Leaning back into your pillows, you mutter an exhausted "happy holidays" before turning over and going right back to sleep.

basically, the idea for this one is that the samezuka boys just come and chill in the readers house every now and then via breaking into through their window ???? but its cool because everyone's friends. so its chill.
and maybe reader lives on their own so the samezuka boys just leave them some nice lil decorations every time they come around. to let them know that they care
personally i dont celebrate christmas but its a very happy time for a lot of people. and if it isnt a happy time for you i understand that too. also it may just be like every other time of year for you. i understand that especially.
so i hope you enjoy this!!!!!! no matter how you feel about the holiday time.
